The Showtec Cameleon Flood 15 Q4 lit up the unique water vortex effect that was exclusively created for the Tomorrowland festival by JMR Waterworld. The RGBW flood light’s high lumen output and IP65 rating made it the perfect solution for the application.
Tomorrowland in Belgium is one of the largest electronic dance music festivals in the world with about 600.000 visitors in 2022, spread over three weekends in July. JMR Waterworld in Ridderkerk, The Netherlands, had provided several water structures to dress up the festival terrain. In one of the resting/eating areas, they had installed a new water vortex effect, exclusively designed for Tomorrowland. In this water art object, 800.000 liters of water fall down 14 meters each hour from a ring structure, creating a vortex-like effect. Surrounding the ring, 42 Showtec Cameleon Flood 15 Q4 RGBW LED flood lights light up the downpour and support the aesthetic construction beautifully. The high lumen output and IP65 rating were perfectly fit for the application, withstanding the elements and providing enough light even during daytime. The photos don’t even do it justice but have a look anyway!
