Showtec lights public buildings for St. Patrick’s Day.
In conjunction with the Killarney Town Council in County Kerry, Ireland, D&D Sound & Lighting has lit up several public buildings in green for the national celebration of Saint Patrick’s Day. They used Showtec’s Helix S5000 Q4 combined with Showtec’s Cameleon Bar 16 to generate the saturated green coloured light. These watertight fixtures (IP65) are well suited for one of Ireland’s regions with the highest rainfall. The most imposing and iconic building, Saint Mary’s Cathedral in Killarney, looked kind of spooky but beautiful in the dark. Other buildings that were bathed in green were the Sheen Falls Hotel in Kenmare, the Methodist Church and the Franciscan Friary in Killarney, and the Church of Ireland in Adare in County Limerick.
