Moving heads with pixel control have become an essential part of stage set-ups. A popular model is the 5x5 matrix which has 25 LEDs arranged in five rows of five LEDs. In the Phantom Matrix FX, these RGBW LEDs have an output of 4 watts. With a 45° beam angle, they have been designed to work with visuals, clearly displaying text, numbers, and other graphic content.
The DMX mode can be set to 10, 18, or 118 channels. In the 118 channel mode, the colours in each LED can be operated separately, while the other two modes make use of macro channels. These channels provide an extensive range of graphic effects as well as letters and numbers. Many of the animations move and the speed can be adjusted using the speed channel. A show can be put together in no time at all and without the need for an elaborate light controller.
There is a Powercon input and output in the base, making it easy to daisy chain devices. The truss hooks can be quickly mounted and dismounted using omega brackets so that assembly time is kept to a minimum. Also supplied is a diffuser screen that can be fitted over the reflectors, making pixel effects clearer than ever!
