On 21 March 2019, our customer Licht-produktiv from Bad Frankenhausen (Germany) organized its third Open Day. Visitors to the Open Day were treated to presentations and detailed tests of various truss, staging, rigging, light, sound, and PA products during various workshops and live product shootouts. All participating manufacturers provided keynote speakers who gave technical talks about the latest major products. The main goal of the Open Day was not to sell but to organize an informative day with added value, showing Licht-produktiv customers the various opportunities and innovations in the industry and offering them a platform for networking.
One of the workshops focused on video at Dutch Media Tools (DMT) and Chimp. Product specialist Eric Piefer informed visitors about video show control, pixel mapping, live image capture, light, sound, and video synchronization (such as by DJ Armin van Buuren), and much more. Our DMT E3.9N LED screen was used for the live demonstration. One highlight was that our LED screen was used the whole day for all product presentations and workshops!
In the three live product shootouts, Infinity went head on with the Furion S401, while Showtec battled it out with the Phantom 3R Hybrid. In their classes, the Moving Heads did extremely well and were on a par with the competition. The Phantom 3R was a particular stand-out, boasting a better colour spectrum compared with its competitors. The units were controlled by a Chimp 300 controller.
Our Odin system achieved first place in the Line Array Shootout, outdoing similar systems from L-Acoustics and HK and once again confirming the high quality of the Odin system, equipped with Celestion loudspeakers.
René Haarseim, CEO of Licht-produktiv, had this to say: 'The day was a huge success. This year's Open Day was our way of attracting B2B customers in particular, and we managed to do just that. Our Open Days aren't designed as trade fairs but as events that provide added value for all. Together with our partners and customers, we want to implement successful projects. Every detail counts in this. That's why we want to make the customer's project our project!'
